vacuum diagrams
i am haveing trouble with my heating cooling system none of the trap doors are working to open/close the difrent vents
this is a 70 with a/c
please help

Here's a picture out of the 1969 Chassis Service Manual, it is of the typical Comfortron A/C - Heat Vacuum diagram. There is a ton more info in the manual, you really ought to get one, they are only about $20-$25.

I'm not sure if this really applies to a 70 but my 82 had the same problem. If the rotary dial works the same way as the slide lever you problem will be in the vaccum switch thats connected to it. mine cost about $13 at the local dealership. I traced hoses for a week until I found it. Got a very good lesson about the vaccum routing on a vette though :D . My advice is to buy a vaccum gauge at autozone or somewhere (very cheap) and check where your heater controls connect to your intake first. If you have vaccum there the problem is more than likley going to be in the switch
