Volvo Temp sensor in my ZZ4 head...Seems to work pretty good
Like I had told everyone previously I used that volvo temp sensor in my new ZZ4 crate and kept an eye on my temp gauge. It seems to read right around 200 degrees when its hot so its looking pretty decent. I have yet to get a temp gun on it and verify but I am not to worried bouts it. This is in my 75 coupe.

Haha well put... I went through carparts.com for it. They sorta suck but whatever it worked out for me just took a long time. I drive a 75 coupe so it may be different across the different years. I will snap some digi's of the gauges peek sometime soon. I also want to get another temp from the block just to see how it correlates. I am still working on getting everything operational and ready for the road so thats all just low on the big list. I can't actually say that temp sensors from a volvo although thats what the word on the streets was when I had decided to try it out. It has something to do with it being within a certain range of the originals design. Everyone talked about it but no one seemed to have actually used it until now. I know tshort was also planning on putting it in his AR engine. Dont know how that went if its there yet?

I think he is saying use the sensor out of the 82 vette. I also read a few posts about that back in time. Whatever works is fine by me. I really dont care what it reads as long as it shows an increase in the normal temp.

Thank You Spook, you are a gentleman and a scholar! I'll check Carparts.com and see if I can find it.

I found the part on CarParts.com, it was $15.83 for the Borg-Warner WT510 temperature sensor. If you don't want to order it, it can also be found at most other autoparts stores as Borg-Warner part number WT510. The Parts American website lists it as available from my local Advaced Auto or Kragen's for $16.99. I think I'll stop by on the way home from work and pick one up and try it out.
