L88 questions
Does anyone know where i can find good info on the L88 corvettes? I would just like to learn more about them, like what options were available, what the engine looked like in stock form etc, etc.
Anyone know of a good website with pics and stuff??

Brian, L88 Corvettes were as close to a race car as you could get. They produced 216 total cars from 1967 to 1969 with two versions. The first version was made from 1967 to mid 1969 and had 12.5 to 1 compression a radical cam with closed chamber aluminum heads with a huge holley four barrel carb. Horsepower was in the mid 500s with open headers. The mid 1969 version had open chamber aluminum heads with 12 to1 compression an even more radical cam and was the first production car to use the holley double pumper carb. Horsepower was over 560 with open headers. L88s did not come with power steering or a radio and did not have a fan shroud so that it would not be ordered by the unsuspecting person. L88s also required the use of the M22 "rock crusher" four speed trans and heavy duty suspension and brakes. I have just outlined some of the broader points but I hope this helps.

Click on the above post I made from the archives. A very good reviev of a very correct and well documented L88.
If you click on each of the pages, they will open up large enough to read this great article.
