Tunnel Ram for SB anybody have one on?
Does anybody in here have a tunnel ram on their C3? I'm thinking of putting a polished one on this winter with a couple of 390cfm's on top with a hilborn scoop. I just think polished on black with chrome sidepipes would be the cats meow Pro's con's? If you have a pic I'd like to see it. Or does anybody have a polished one for sale?

Pro's: They Look Awesome, pulls great from 4,000rpm+
Con's: I wouldn't do it if the car is driven mostly on the street. You will be giving up LOTS of low end torque and drivability. If it was a Big Block I'd say go for it (you have torque to spare), but not on a SB.

The hole in the hood is a con for sure, especially if you drive in the rain or snow. I've seen an article that compared intakes and from what it showed a high rise dual plane intake is only 10-12 hp lower than a tunnel ram when tested the same engine. Now factor in the 5-600 dollar price and the fact you need a smaller distributer to clear the manifold, and I can see why you don't see many of them around.
