Vibration in Second and Third Gear

Vibration in Second and Third Gear
I have some vibration at the low end of second and third gears. If I go easy on the accelarator there is vibration, if I go heavier on the accelarator there is no vibration. At hwy speeds it run smooth as silk.
I have changed all universals on the half shafts and drive shaft. The drive shaft has been balanced. There are new wheel bearings on the rear spindles. New BF T/A tires all around. New leaf spring, new shocks and the motor mounts are good.
Any idea's on what is giving me this vibration ? :banghead:

Did you recently put in a new clutch? Can you feel it in the shifter?
Also when you take off from a stop does it vibrate?
I recently had a clutch put in my 75 and noticed vibration ever since. Maybe its a similar situation

Re: Vibration in Second and Third Gear (Ice_Fire)
Worn pilot bushing, worn bearings in tranny, off center pressure plate as mentioned - still lots of moving parts you could chase but it sounds like you may be picking nits if it's only at low RPM and low speed. I've replaced practically every part on my car at some point or another but it still drives like a used car. I've had to resign myself to the fact that new parts do not equal a new car.

OH YEAH, big time Dittos on this one. Spent years chasing everything that turned instead of the snubber bushing that wasn't supposed to... Id replace this first. :iagree:
