Re: 327 Heads (benjtay)
Also, what are the flow #'s on the stock 300 HP 327 cylinder heads?
As well, what are the best aftermarket heads for a 327 engine? 350 heads
compatible?
Any Vortech heads for a 327?
Sorry for all the questions, any help would be appreciated.

Do A Forum Search for the Flow Numbers, I know CHP did a comparo about them and have been posted ad naseum-for your "double hump" heads, look on the casting, the number should end in "882". Edelbrock, Trick Flow, etc...all make great heads, it depends on the money you want to spend. You can get the L31 Vortec heads for your 327, but follow the same rules for any pre198x block when installing them. The Vortec's are the best bargain, flow like gangbusters too.

Yes, they were "double hump". Valves were 1.94 intake, 1.5 exhaust. They are the same as the heads that had 2.02 intake, 1.6 exhaust except for the valve size. The early 461/462 castings did not have drilled and tapped accessory holes.
