1- I can't remember how I got mine apart, but it did involve a couple of beer and a lack of patience at the workbench...
2- That is your interior light delay box... Common source of trouble for interior lights on our cars...
3- If I remember correctly, there are 4 tabs that bend to hold the face of the wiper switch in place in the dash pad...
Hope these help! and good luck!

mmm... i can't remember how i removed mine, but i don't remember it being particularly frustrating... something about having the key in, and the lock in a certain position... don't remember any strange tools or wires... maybe a pick of some sort, or small driver... sorry I can't be of more help with that...

1)From what I remember there is hole on the side of the lock mech in a certain position there is a tang(tab) visible through this hole,if you push the tang in the lock should slide out.
2)that is the interior light delay timer.
3)You will need to remove the wiper switch first, which latches onto the face plate & is then fixed with a screw onto the dash.As far as I can remember the face plate is a press fit into the dash.

Glovebox lock is a hell of a lot easier if you lock it first. Then leave the key out, I think. When you turn it to locked, this will line up a little spring tab type thing with a slot in the casing just where the casing meets the back of the door. Put a screw driver in there to depress the tab and the lock barrel will practically fall out. Then you need some sort of hexagonal tool to unscrew the bezel and remove the casing from the door. This will become obvious when the lock comes out.
Wiper switch, I found the easiest (and perhaps only) way was to get at it from behind with the speedo/tach cluster removed. Theres a small screw in the bottom of the switch (behind the dash) that points up and out towards you as you face the switch. Undo that, and from the front side, push the bottom of the switch (not the plastic bezel) back into the dash. It will want to rotate about it's top edge, 'cos it's held by tabs up there. When pushed/rotated enough it will come out from behind. The bezel then pushes out to the rear of the car. Bit of a fiddly one!

Nice clear pictures! :D
But if you've got the luxury of having the key, this job is even easier. If you LOCK the lock with the door open, you only have to push down ONE tab to get it to drop out.
With the lock unlocked, you need to push down each of the tumblers one-by-one. Perfectly do-able, just a bit fiddly!

Are you trying to get the whole thing out, or have you already got the switch part out and are just trying to get the black plastic surround out??

Re: three questions about interior stuff... (adamdinat)
ok...i figured out the wiper control thing...
it is held in by one 7mm hex head screw at the bottom on the back...
"i pity the fool" that has to remove it with everything in tact...
anyways...once that is out...the front bezel pushes thru from the outside in...
hense if you were doing this with everything in tact and you dropped it thru, you would be pretty screwed!
anyway...i totaly removed the dash today and it is on the bench...
mission moves on to the next faze...
