I need a shop manual!
Where can I find a shop manual for a 1980 corvette in canada? if you used one are they really difficult for an amateur to read and apply.

Go on ebay and do a search. Once you find one go to that persons individual store and if he doesn't have the exact one you want ask him if he can get it. I got mine on ebay for $45.00

I got mine on eBay, as well. It's a reprint from a company named "Corvette America". $22 and I'm thrilled with it.

Helm's is the best shop manual. It's year specific, not car specific. As such, it contains information for your year, rather than generalizations. This is especially important when you're using the electrical diagrams, IMHO. You'll also need an Assembly Instruction Manual, which you can get from any of the catalog supply houses.
