Default Gas Filler Thingy

I am not real sure how to ask this question. I have seen a couple of C3s with a different gas filler cap. It is chrome and sticks up an inch or so and is different from the gas cap door on my car.

LeMans style. Same as used on the Cobra. Caps are available thru Cobra Accessories for about $125. Then you'll need an adapter to make it fit your tank and sometype of filler to close up the rest of the hole where your gas door fits now. There are pictures on my website, and also at CorvetteFAQ.

Dave: I looked at all of your pics. Seems like it would take a lot of filler. My plate is sorta full, but I like the way you did it.

I really enjoyed your RVN pics. I had 44 days to go in 1969 with the 4th Infantry and got hit pretty bad. It was a life time ago. Things have worked out well. Again, thanks! Mark

Thanks Mark and welcome home Brother! The filler is not that bad to make. I'll email a picture of what I made for another forum member.

Got the pic and that looks nice. I am in the middle of several projects and cannot do this now, but want to. Hope I can get your help a little later. Mark
