This was in Lars' CorvetteForum loaner program a while back. It runs great, but I run Holleys now. Take it off my hands, willya?

Is the Lars loaner program no longer going on?

The last time I checked he indicated it was going to be suspended because he was working on other things. That's why I never sent this one back in. Maybe it's started back up.

Lars?

I love your auction description--not many folks with a sense of humor on ebay.

LOL. I got this e-mail a few minutes ago:

I want to put you Quadarajet on my 396 Camero. Will it fit or will I have to ajust it? Whats a kit? Thanks.

That's a nice looking carburetor! Did it look that nice before Lars got it? Apart from tuning the carbs does he improve the cosmetics of the carb?

He does, but he doesn't have the equipment that a carb shop would, so he doesn't do anything in terms of plating.

I emailed him a while back and he said he no longer offers the rebuild service.

My understanding is that he stopped for a while because he had some projects, but is doing them again for forum guys. He doesn't replate, but he can touch up the plating. When I got my carb back from him last monday, it looked virtually new.

Yes it did. It was an almost brand-new remanufactured unit from Recarbco. (www.recarbco.com). I had used it for a while on my car then switched to a Holley. I donated it for use in the loaner program, but had Lars send it back to me just more than a year ago so I could get my car to pass smog. Eventually I said "screw it" and packed the carb up to send back to the loaner program. Last year, trying to mail something during the holiday season was impossible. Eventually I was ready to send it in and Lars said the program was suspended or cancelled or whatever semantic he used. It sat in the garage all packed up until last Saturday when I took it out to shoot eBay pics. It is a nice carb--I just can't use it.
