Default ZZ4 Cam Any Good?

Starting out "mild" with my existing shortblock.
Looking at spiffed up Vortec heads w/SS valves and
(sounds like?) LT type springs, good up to .510 lift.
The usual better intake and headers, now for the cam.

See quite a few ZZ4 cams for sale on ebay - seem to be
about in the 050 & lift range I'm looking for.

Anybody tried them, or any recommendations pro, con,
or a better alternative?

Thanks!

It's good for 350hp with the ZZ4 setup. Not a bad cam, but plenty more to choose from in the aftermarket.

ZZ4 cams (PN #10185071) are pretty good street cams. Good drivability, good low end torque. But they are hyd. roller cams. You can not use them in a non-roller block without some modifications to accept the lifter retainer or use aftermarket lifters.
