Need ideas for body dolly!!!
I will hopefully be pulling the body off the 75 very shortly. The problem is I am doing the resto on a one stall car garage. I need to build a body dolly that I can push the frame underneath. The front clip will not be on the car so I only need to raise from the firewall back. I would also need to push the body on the dolly in and out of the garage so the whole setup can be no higher than 80 inches from the ground to clear the roof line.
Any ideas about whether I will be able to lift it enough to push a stripped frame under it.

I was thinking of something like this with a removable front brace for when I need to move the frame in or out. Excuse my artistic ability.

I just used the hoist webbing to pull the body off, then set in on the dolly. When the frame is finished (rewelding & repairs to rust), I'll hoist it up again.

Yeah - I almost made mine like that - but didn't.
Mpro72vette made one similar to your idea - slid sideways, not lengthwise.

Mark used a chain hoist - since he had plenty of overhead clearance.
I used a cable puller and nylon ratcheting straps on the four corners
to lift the body. My dolly is here: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/zerothread?id=587940
The picture's not that great - low res animated GIF.
