I've seen the TKO's for the same price but including speedo adapter and backup switch. I also remember someone posting that summit has a yoke that works for $105. I used Mobil 1 synthetic ATF in mine and it shifts real well. About $4/qt at autozone. Shipping on mine (from Swarr automotive) was only $50.

Sounds good. I would save myself the 300 for the custom shifter and make my own. I like to make things like that. Did you forget the driveshaft. Either shorten or have a new one made.

That's not too bad. I got mine for about the same price except I bought a Pro 5.0 Billet shifter for about $200. I looked at the offset shifter and I would much rather have my Pro 5.0 and a spacer, The way the offset shifter works it has more moving parts and more likely to fail. IMHO Jim

sounds like a pretty good deal considering the labor and everything. that will definitely make one sweet ride with a manual gear box!

Only problem is I can get the full 4 speed conversion with everything I mean everything for only 800 bucks including the super T-10........It is a tough tough decision to make as I typically do not do much highway driving........Hard to make up my mind

If you're going to convert to manual, get an overdrive. :yesnod: Any cruises or even the hot rod power tour someday would be an excuse.

Last time I checked, this topic is about spending "YOUR" money, so budget constraints aren't an issue from my perspective!

Swarr Automotive will sell you the trans for about that price - perhaps a hair lower and he includes the speedo adapter (and gear) and the backup switch. If you have a good driveshaft shop in town - an old lincoln slip yoke will work (cost me about $50) and you dont need the plug for the neutral safety switch, just clip the wires that come out of it and it is a perfectly good plug of its own.

Expect about $120-$160 to shorten your driveshaft.
