Cars been on jackstands since Saturday while I dropped the tranny to get at the flywheel. My O'Reillys $35 starter had loosened itself and got cocked at an odd angle I quess because on my last attempt to start the car the nose of the starter separated and chewed up the flywheel. So I took this as a sign that I really needed that high torque mini starter I've read so much about.
I must say that I love the understated whine of power this thing generates. I've been grabbing everyone I know and telling them they have to listen to my car start. :yesnod: :crazy: :rolleyes:

Besides the starter and flywheel I also replaced the throwout bearing and pilot bushing since the clutch disk and pressure plate looked fine. With my recent rear end work - spring,yokes bearings, I think I'm ready to face the winter. I hate working on the driveway in cold weather. :(
