Has anyone got a C3 into the 10's I know there are some 11's
Has anyone got a C3 into the 10's I know there are some 11's I would like to know what it takes to push one into the 10's. What kind of setup do you have? What have you done to the rearend? What type of tires?

I remember racing last year with a wheely popping 9 sec C3. 9 inch rear end, not sure about the rest of the drive train.
But we were lucky though, the track we raced at had a functional time clock. :)

I really dont want to change rearend, but that might be something I have to do. I wonder If anyone makes a kit for it?

Joey, I remember that car. It's a red '69 coupe, with a 383 and N20.

The "Thunder Racing Sootout" will have MANY late model f-body's, and some if any Vettes.

383's can run 10's, is that with hyperspace adapter or just a small 300 shot of Nitrous. :smash:

I actually clicked a new best time of 10.30 at 137 on Sunday. I had horrible traction problems, and I could only muster a 1.76 60ft compared to my best of 1.43. I only ran a 6,85 in the 1/8 mile, that's .5 sec over my usual 6.30. The car should run a 9.70 with good traction.
Oh yeah, that's with a completely stick rear with a 150hp shot. I still haven't leaned on the motor yet!

You'll need at lest 600 HP and a drivetrain to match to get into the high 10's. Closer to 700 HP to run low 10's. Stick with an automatic to soften the blow on the drivetriain. You'll still need about $1,500 of Tom's parts to make it live for any length of time. If you do most of the work figure on spending $7,000- $10,000 on the engine build and another $2,000 for tranny/converter upgrades.
