Re: Son of a ****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Stoge)
I'm so PO about this... bought a new shop vac yesterday, so I took my tops out of the car to give the interior a good cleaning today. Got the drivers side top out no prob, gently placed it on the carpet in my garage. Took the second one out and it slipped out of my hand.
Does anyone know of a good place to get a used original mirror glass top?
I bet my neighbors were amazed by the new 4 letter words I invented today.
:mad :mad :mad

Did it cool off down in OKC tonight too? It got pretty chilly up in Claremore this evening.

As far as "original" glass tops those are hard to find.
When I broke my mirrored tops on my 1980 I was equally pissed.
What I recommend to those that have broken tops, or those that want to keep their originals in good shape is to get there broken tops fixed or buy replacements from Thompson Astro Tops.
No, not that one pieced thing - I looked at one and hated it. They do rebuild your t-tops with acrylic instead of glass. I sent them my busted tops and they sent back to very new looking replacements. All new hardware, new weather stripping and new acrylic. The acrylic won't break and is MUCH lighter than the glass ones.
If you have broken a top and want a good replacement, get one from Thompson. If you have some tops you want to keep in good shape, buy a spare pair from them and store your glass tops to use for car shows.

Ouch! That hurts just seeing that Stoge.
I hope that doesn't ever happen to mine but if it does I know I'll have to cry while I'm cussing.

Re: Son of a ****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Stoge)
That looks very familiar. I just bought a second set of tops on ebay with the opposite top broken. So, hopefully, I'll have one good glass set, and a broken set to send to be rebuilt with plexiglass.
