Default Brake Problems - I'm done with trying to fix the problem

Ordering complete new rear wheel bearing assemblies tomorrow, and strut rod bushings. That should fix it. Assemblies to have tolerance within GM specs - or so says ZIP.

Probably about $1,000 of parts before core rebate and labor. But, it WILL BE FIXED!

Good luck. I've heard nothing but good stuff about Zip. I don't know who builds their bearing assemblies though. It should be a pretty painless deal to R&R them.

Turns out Zip has to manufacture them and it will be maybe end of next week before they start.

So, VP&B got the order. Cheaper, believe it or don't, and they hope to have out by week's end.

We work hand in hand w/VBP. We do all of their rebuilding(bearing assem., control arms ect.) and they supply us w/some of there kits. It works out well for everyone.

Van Steel -
Are you working on the two piece alum hub C3 rotor that Robin described to me a couple of weeks back?

Bears in Linesville, Pa. is one of their suppliers, also supplies other major vendors. Can buy direct from Bears

Flynhi-
Not that I know of.

GDaina-
Zip doesn't supply VBP w/bearing assemblies. They are about 5 miles from our place and they are here everyday picking up assemblies. If anything, VBP supplies Zip w/products. VBP pretty much supplies all of the vendors w/poly bushing along w/Energy Suspension and all the suspension kits w/the tubular a-arms ect.

Got a call from VB&P - how many vendors do that? - that the order was shipped air freight yesterday (at my expense, of course). That means they will be here today, at the shop my Monday, and maybe the Vette back on the road Monday night.

That is service! Thanks VB&P - and Van Steel - for making the assembly so fast!

And, they are at home waiting for me.

Can't wait to see what that overnight air freight bill is!
