Anyone have a trustworthy mechanic in the Indianapolis area that can repair a transmission on an older Chrysler LeBaron (1993 I think)? My mother lives there and her car needs repair. She is 73 and lives mainly on Social Security, so money is a big issue. She has been quoted over the phone $900 to $1200 to repair.

She said at first it wouldn't go into reverse, but drive was ok. Now neither will work.

Unfortunately I can't afford to fly there to check it out, but thought someone might have some advise on who could look at it.
