Took My AC Compressor Brackets In For Plating
Apparently, the lower bracket is made out of "Cass" or "Cast." And if it is it cannot be chromed. The adjuster bracket and rear bracket is obviously steel, so no problems with those. It still takes three weeks since it is shipped out to some far away land.
Getting a chromed A6 Compressor also takes time from Corvette America. I strongly suspect they do not send the compressor out to be chromed until they get an order for one.
So, limbo is the current situation. I don't want to start something else until this is done.

What's that gonna cost? I've considered doing the same thing. There are a few plating shops here in OKC.

I do not know the cost of the plating yet. Like everything else, I expect it to be on the high side.

You might try and ceramic coat the the bracket with some of Jet Hot's Silver. It looks pretty good, not as good as chrome but still pretty good.

I've seen a local fellow with a nice C2 that had a lot of his bracketry and misc. items silver ceramic coated like JetHot. Looked really nice. I plan on doing similar. I think it is almost better than chrome as it will never rust.

that chrome compressor is going to look nice!!! except the chrome seam is at the top of the compressor...looks kinda ugly at first, but you get use to it..i thought about putting a harrison factory sticker on it to cover it up.
