More info on the Liberty / Richmond 5 spd
Talked to Liberty today about the rumor I heard they were going to build a 5 spd based on the Richmond. They told me it was true and the set up is going to be a Richmond 5 spd case with their gear set and face plate. The tranny will be a street / strip set up good for approx 1000 hp. The tranny will have NO synchros but will down shift and have good street manners.
Liberty also said they are looking at offering two differant gear ratios, they do not like the 3.27 first gear the Richmonds come with and are looking at something in the 2.90 range
They are looking to do this as a winter project and should have them availible in 2-4 months for $3500.00
After talking to them and G-Force they sould very similar to the G-Force GF-5R, with a slightly lower power rating and almost 2,000 less expensive.
Anybody want to buy a Richmond 6 spd
