Default Doghouse = Birdcage???

A fellow CE'er said their doghouse was misaligned. Is doghouse synonymous with birdcage?

Thanks,

Yes, I have been led to believe that is correct.

Usualy "doghouse" is referring to the upper part of the birdcage, the window area. On boats the doghouse is the part of the cabin that extends up above the deck. So on a car it would be the part that extends up above the body, i.e., the window area and roof.
