Default Ok....Help with retainer spring on rear parking brake shoe

Is there a trick to getting the rear parking brake retainer spring on? After two hours and four beers, I still can't get it. I need three hands and a drop light that doesn’t shine in my eyes. :smash:

Compress the spring and the retainer with vice grips. Tie dental floss or whatever else you want to around the spring/retainer while it's compressed. It's way easier to install this way. When you get the pin right, just cut the floss and, viola, you're finished with that one!!

Edit: Search on pbrake and parking brake and p-brake in the archived topics. Lotsa good stuff in there on installing and adjusting.
