I just bought the Power master #27294.
Just warning to anyone buying alternators. They come with a redline rpm warning. PM have a 17,400 max rpm. So to be on the safe side I pulled the smaller chrome pulley it came with and installed my old larger one. gearing it down.
Lets say that your crank pulley is 6 inches at the outer diameter of the back of your belt and it's 2 inches at the alternator. 3-1 multiplier. If your motor ever turns 6000 rpm the alternator is turning 18,000.
Years ago I had a transmission failure at high speed at wide open throttle. The poor alternator tried to do who knows 24,000 rpm and actually exploded under the hood.
So I've always used smaller crank pulleys and larger alternator pulleys ever since.
