power window motor
i recently had my power motors replaced, without replacing the *&_@! gear,
(i was told that it was probably just fine) well it is not !!
:banghead:
all the trim for the door is still off, what is involved in the process of removing the motor, and replacing the gear??? this is a 76' resto. with all new glass and regulators..any help would be much appreciated.
i think i can tackle this job on my own(with your help)
thanks dale :grouphug:

Re: power window motor (bbprepro)
It all must come back out to replace the gear. But look on the bright side, at least the panels and trim are off already. You must remove the window first - be careful, this is the hardest part as it is the only thing that's breakable!. If you have the GM service manual it gives a nice description of how to do this because you will need to readjust the window at the end. Motor and tracks are last. Did this 2 years ago, it's not difficult just not a lot of room to work in there.
