Q-jet choke kit avail??
Is there an electric choke kit that will bolt on to my 69 Q-jet with divorced choke setup? It might be more reliable then the coil spring and rod on it now.
Also where are you guys picking up the 12vdc for the choke-should be constant, not switched correct?
Thanks,
Gary

I don't think you can convert the older Q-jets without a choke unit. If you just replace the choke coil and adjust the original set-up it should work fine. I have no problems with mine and it is the original carb.

No No you can not convert an old carb to an electric choke. I do have a perfect q-jet from a 1984 GM truck #17084285, Will sell it to you To bad you don't live near Toronto, May be to expensive to ship

Actually, yes you can. I am currently running his conversion on my 69 Q-jet. http://www.carbs.net/quadrajet.asp
