Default Urethane Front Bumpers

The front bumper on my 75 needs replacing. Has anyone had any experience with the Ecklers urethane replacement bumpers. They are half the price of the GM bumpers. Are they half the quality?

I have just bought an Eckler's front and rear bumper for my '74, which are being painted now. I loosely installed the rear several times to "line it up" and on that one the fit is superb. Have'nt done the front yet, but most times these are the ones that need work bcause of the curvature of the sides and especially on the '75-'79 where it has that area at the nose that IS NOT straight across like a '73/'74.

Paul, are you saying that urethane front/rear bumpers are now available? With the split in the rear?

Mayberg-No, I purchased the Eckler's "FLEXI-FIT" bumpers that I guess are Eckler's version of the TrueFlex bumpers. The TrueFlex rear for a '74 are one piece and have that shallow "saw cut" in it that really does'nt look "correct" for a '74. The Eckler's '74 rear is a TRUE two piece design, and its dimesions, the curve of the split at the seam-everything looks like an ORIGINAL '74 rear bumper. GM Restorations parts are now re-making the '73/'74 front, but it's list is $616  and I've seen a few of them installed on cars a few years ago(when they first came out) AND THE LIPS ABOVE THE GRILLES ARE TURNING UPWARDS like my 30year old front one on my '74 is doing :mad
I like to keep this car as original as possible, but I refuse to pay that kind of money to begin with for a bumper to do that :(
