no outside bushing?? Huh?? The bushing is pressed in from the outside and presses through the bore in the arm
Here's a pic

wow.... yea.. I had no outer bushings... just the outside bore on the control arm (which looks kinda like a bushing) was acting as the outer bushing. No wonder it wouldnt come out! :cuss. Hopefully I can smooth and file down what I tore up on the control arm. Bubba made me pull another bubba. Thanks for the pics twin , and yb.
edit:
just to be sure, that "bore" or bushing on the control arm in ur pic twin..that doesnt come out? (That was acting as my outer bushing)

The arm in my pic is with everuthing removed, the cilindrical bushing type deal is part of the A arm stamping and cannot (and should not :) ) be removed

When I pull mine, what be a good place to take them to, to get the bushings pressed out, or is there a way I can do it my self?

You can definatly do them yourself. Getting them pressed may result in slightly bending an arm. Just dont pull a blues77, and air hammer peices of your control arm off. Torch the old rubber ones out then knock the outer shells out. Heres a post with the lars paper. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/zerothread?id=616100

Take it to a machine shop and have it done properly. And note the upper and lower bushings are different lengths as seen in the pic.

Just an update on this... Lower and upper control arms look different when all bushings and shells are removed (Uppers have an outer lip). Myself and friends were majorly confused when trying to figure out what came off. Turns out I didnt mess up my control arm it was actually part of the bushing. For u first timers, heres a pic of them naked.
Upper
Removal of outer bushing became very easy once the technique with the air hammer was discovered.
