They look like Edelbrock manifolds just polished. Don't know where they are manufactured.

They are Chinese made. They are the ones that Edelbrock has been fussing about in their ads. They make almsot exact copies of everythig Edelbrock makes. They actually add a faeture or two to make them different...like front/rear external waterline outlets drilled. Edelbrock has just the bosses.

They will need clean up and work internally to flow correctly, but so do most of the others. Overall, a good cheap alternative. You can find them at swap meets new all the time. I've compared them side by side with Edelbrocks.

Now the philosophical question of is it ethical to steal someone elses designs and make them offshore without any R&D of your own is something only you can decide and what you have to sleep with every night.

I'm just patriotic enough these days to not ever want to use them. I will use off shore stuff, but not any that are so blatant about the theft of design.

Seen them on a couple local street rods, the few with them seem to like them. Many street rods are more for "show" than "go" so I'm not sure performance wise.

I have one on mine which you can see in the sig pic. It's a very nicely polished intake that has given me no sealing problems since I put it on last winter. There was a noticeable gain in performance when I installed it but I'm not sure I can attribute that to the manifold or the fact that I replaced my boat anchor of a Q Jet with an Edelbrock Thunder AVS carb. I will say that magazine articles that I've seen give it good marks for performance and say it's on a par with the edelbrock entries. I'll leave the ethical questions up to the individual. I will say that IMHO Edelbrock is a little pricey on some of his equipment so he's going to get competition whether he likes it or not. I'm pretty sure that after selling about a billion performer manifolds for SBC's he could probably bring the price down somewhat to compete especially the polished ones. But to each his own. The Professional Products manifolds are a nice alternative to the typical fair out there.

I can understand Vic Edelbrock being upset, I've compared them side by side with Edelbrock's and they are virtual clones. It looks like the Chinese took Edelbrock manifolds and copied the castings completely. The internals of the manifolds look as good as the originals, plus as a previous poster stated they have some features that aren't on Edelbrock's manifolds.

Sounds like the Chinese copied the text out of the Japanese handbook how to become a force in the world's economic market.

They are pretty bad, they can copy stuff like that with thier eyes closed, they even copied a very complex telephone communications circuit board I designed so good I had to look at it for a while before I could see it was not ours. :mad

Hammers, vises, saws, drills stuff that been around forever it's not so bad but when they copy performance stuff ( there probably ain't to many V8 muscle cars running around Beijing ) it starts to pis s you off, next thing you know there's a Hong Kong 4 barrel double pumper.

Motorhead: How did you get the Victor Jr to fit under that stock hood? I'm looking to do simaliar what you did to my 355 over the winter and would like to follow what you did, but in some books it says the victor jr will not fit under a stock hood. :smash:

I was talking to a bunch of Cisco guys to-day and they said that the chinese copyied and reproduced the top end line of Cisco'e switches. Only from the threat of a trade war with the US stoped them producing the switches

I also heard that this manifold company is rumored to clone the GM Crate engines, If they are anything like their TV's They will sell the suckers for less then half and will be just as good as the orginals. Sure is a small world

I am going by what my local engine builder /parts supplier told me he has been in it ( performance side ) since the 60's and says he has never seen it so good as right now
