Default engine pics from the '69 (not pretty!)

I was taking some pics of the '76 (it's still for sale- hint, hint) and I decided to get some "before" pics of the engine on the '69. I also started it up and discovered a major leak from around the accelerator pump- looks like I'm gonna need to rebuild the carb.
The engine needs to be replaced, it smokes pretty good; but that will have to wait until next year. I also need to work on the brakes and it needs a new top...among other things. Unfortunately, I can't start work on this until I sell the 76. Frustrating to say the least!

I have seen much worse.
I see you are running an HEI distributor. What about the stock tachometer?

The tach works, and looking at some of the larger photos, I can see what looks like a cable screwed onto the back of the distributor shaft. I haven't looked at the dist. specifically, with so many other things that need attention it has been a case of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". I'll take a closer look when I get home tonite and see what's what.

For the 76? I'm asking $11,000, but that is negotiable. Here is some more info: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/zerothread?id=646413
