Rear Transmission Mount and Rear Seal Replacement
I have the drive shaft out and want to go ahead and replace these two items. My impression is that the rear transmission mount sits between the rear of the transmission and the cross member and that you need to support the trans with a block of wood and floor jack, remove the cross member, replace the bushing and reinstall. Is that correct?
Also, I found a poly bushing at The Last Detail for $10 and a poly at VBP for $30. Does it matter which bushing I use?
As to the seal, it appears to pry out and then a new one presses in. Is that correct as well? Also, it is not leaking now and wonder whether I should replace it. I bet I can make it leak with the replacement.

Yes you are correct. To remove the mount, there are 2 bolts that attach it to the crossmember and 2 that attach it to the trans. The rear seal can be removed by carefuly prying it out and the new seal is tapped back in place with a rubber mallet.
