I,ve waited on alot of idiots at the boat ramp. Most do everything soooooo ssslllooowww, or need 20 tries at backing down the ramp, but I've never had the pleasure of watching someone do something that stupid, thats better than T.V. It's just too bad he did that to a vette and not a mustang!

I think I would have offered to help instead of standing there taking pictures....:(
I read that the guy was worried that if he helped thought me might be liable somehow.
I would have just asked the dude at least.... When the tail end was still in out of the water I think they could have saved her from total sinkage...

Has anyone checked the C5 section to see if there's a post "Had Trouble at the Ramp Today"...????.......'cause I don't want to call the guy a moron if he's a member....let's face it.....not exactly rough seas, so really backing up a trailer in those conditions is an easy task even for a beginner......
Trust me, that Vette will be on Ebay soon...
...and now I wonder: has anyone done that with mine???? :skep:

Waiting in line at the boat ramp can be very entertaining.

I've seen some very strange stuff while waiting to get my boat in the water.
I do not understand what could have happened that cause this guys to back his vette in the water. Unless he backed in too far and loss traction on the slick pavement, thus followed the trailer down. It looks like it's in salt water. Total loss!!!!!

Boats are also made of FiberGlass, yet they float, Corvettes DO NOT, although many people think they do. Wonder if he got cited for stupidity. For some people, it comes NATURALLY.

Why anyone would choose a vette to tow boats or skis around with is beyond me.
I have never understood anyone who would put a tow ball on the back of a Vette.

I used to be buds with a guy who has a 66 BB, and an 03. He also has a 18 footer with a built 454 that he hauls with the 03. Prior to that he had a 97 daily driver, boat hauler, then a 93 daily driver, boat hauler.
Every four years this guy leases a new vette, puts on a trailer hitch, and hauls his boat, and drives through the Cleveland snows.

That's because they are too busy looking at their jewelry :lolg: :lolg: :lolg: I had to say that, I recently pulled along side a guy with a C5 and he looked like Mr. Tee :lolg: If he waved (and he was cluless) it would of sounded like Jingle Bells.....

The guy who took the pics said he was backign down and decided he needed a few more inches to get his jet skis on and the rear wheels were a bit in the water. He went back far enough and then the rear just floated up and drifted away. So the guy was still in it and he couldnt pull out seeing as it is rear wheel drive so he swam out an then tried to pull it in by hand.
