Vaccuum line is cap off with bolt does this effect anything thanks

Bolts don't make very good caps because some air will still get sucked past the threads. Affect? ... mmm prob. not enough to notice, but it's still ugly as shizzle. I bought a box of various sized vacuum caps from JC Whitney ... invaluable for any C3 owner.

I won't effect the proper running of your engine or performance that much. I would go to napa, autozone, pepboys etc.. and spend a buck and buy a vacuum cap. Pull the hose from the carb and slip the cap over the nipple. It will be a lot cleaner looking and a LOT more functional than a bolt. The bolt thing is ok for a short term fix but i won't leave it like that. To BUBBA for me.
