Any particular reason why you want the shorty headers? i looked at them too myself but couldnt find any listings that fit C3 vettes. But im sure theyre out there. Im running the Dynomax ceramic coated and like them very much. Many others on here use them too. They are not really full length as they stop short on a downward angle. So theyre not a short as shortys but theyre not as long as full length headers either. They fit very well and dont hang down underneath.

And they were $230 when I bought them. Only thing I would suggest, which would add to the cost, is to buy aluminum or copper collector gaskets and Stage 8 locking header bolts. The paper collector gaskets supplied with the headers blew out in less than 100 miles on my vette. However, the actual header gaskets supplied will work fine. Also, the Stage 8 locking header bolts will keep you from having to retorque the header bolts x number of miles after installation.

well doesn't really need to be shorties, but I don't want full lengh either. It is basically just for looks, ( thats why i want chrome or ceramic or polished ones). I was wondering if i could avoid changing the Y-pipe.
how about block huggers?

Find a set of the stainless steel exhaust manifolds off an later year model 'vette I think they started putting them on in 81 or 82. They have some nasty looking heat shields and air tubes, but you can take those off and weld up the holes.

If you go with chrome, expect them to "blue" out in a little while - look at a street rod, it can't be polished out either.
Polished will need touchups on a regular basis to retain the "shine" but you could just let it dull out to a natural state.
Ceramic is the best of the new tech. Jet-Hot is top of the line, say the guys that have it on their headers.
Just my .02cents
