Pictures of new 406!
Here are few pictures of the 406 I just finished building a few weeks ago.
Specs are in my sig. So far she RIPS! :reddevil:
I have some pictures before it was in the car, but I've yet to develope those.
The engine is painted the same color as the car, as are some accessory brackets. If anyone is interested I have a complete itemized parts list for the entire build including part numbers and web links.

Beautiful engine. I like the fuel line too. Is that a "Russell" setup?

How's the idle with that roller cam and Vic Jr.Mine's fairly rough with the XE-284 and RPM,but I've been toying with the idea of a roller cam next go around.I think the cam you're running is the one I'll end up with,or maybe a blower grind with more lobe seperation.Mine will top 6500 easy,so the range is what I was after, but if I could smooth out the idle a bit and crispen up the throttle response I'd be in heaven.

Thanks for all the compliments! Its been a long-haul as this little conversion took 8-1/2 months. It was rather hard to sit through spring and most of summer with it sitting in the garage. :yesnod:
It may see some dyno/track time in the coming weeks if I can get some tuning issues resolved. I'll be sure to post the results.
Brettmc: As far as the breathers go, yes it can be done, but an effective PCV does help ring seal a fair amount. My reason for going with the dual breathers is that I only had two vacuum ports to work with, which needed to run the power brakes, headlights, and the transmission vacuum modulator. I did not tap my intake for a vacuum port prior to assembly...I wish I would have! However, after getting some oil coming out one breather I DID switch to a PCV valve. This leaves me one vacuum port running brakes, headlights, and tranny. I wasn't sure how well it would work, but so far so good. Everything works as it should. I only pull ~10" of idle vacuum, so the headlights are a little slow.
1bad69:  No, although now that I look at your sig I notice that my avatar says "Toronto Sharks".... I just saw the shark and thought it was wicked. If I did end up in Toronto I'd be sure to look you up, your '69 is  :reddevil !
1970 Stingray & Eddie 70: Yes, the fuel line is from Russle. Summit part number: RUS-641180. All the other fittings are also Russle -8AN. I'm using a BG fuel pressure gauge and a Holley Volumax 130gph Pump.
foundvettelifeisgood: Thanks, it sure is ashame to cover them up!
:yesnod: That green is awesome, what color is that? Also, nice rims!
The Money Pit: The idle is suprisingly good, It will idle down to 800rpm (with a fair amount of lope). I only pull ~10" of vacuum. Response is AWESOME. I was afraid the Victor Jr. would hurt the low end snap, but its very responsive. This may be attributed to the Demon, as it is made to run with the higher duration. So far I'm very happy with this cam/intake. I was thinking of buying an RPM Air-Gap and taking them both to the track to get a comparison. My torque converter stalls at 3500-4000rpm so I am right in the powerband for the Victor Jr and Cam so I'm not sure the RPM would be any better. The power is incredible, if I lay into it at 40mph I'll rip the rearend loose.... :reddevil
Armstrong I'll email you the Excel spreadsheet. If you don't have Excel I can convert it for you.
