Any suggestions on removing old rear view mirror parts?
My aftermarket mirror is broken. My new (aftermarket) mirror has a different hanger. Any suggestions on getting this off. I hate to break this windshield. I have a razor blade scraper that I am tapping on with a hammer but it hasn't just popped off......so I thought I would ask. Thanks for any advice, again, I hate to break that windshield!

I had the same problem with my 81(same mirror)as yours. File the inside of the new mirror where it mounts to the metal piece on the glass then tap it on with a small hammer then mount the mirror. Worked for me. Got my new mirror from MidAmerica but I'd bet it's the same one as yours. Good luck ! :cheers: :seeya
