Default Anyone answer a queston about heads with raised exhaust ports ?

Looking at Victor Jr. heads for my 400 stroker buildup and it says they have .300 raised exhaust ports.

I want to be able to bolt any new heads I get right up to the headers that are in the car right now, so my question is can I do that or is this going to be a problem ?

Right now I dinged one of my pipes to clear a plug so if the new exhaust ports are raised and the plug hole stays in the same location then there is no way the headers will fit ?

Location/angle of the spark plug varies quite a bit. i hope you can find somebody with your combo here or at a car show

My Dart 227 cc have .600 raised exhaust ports and angle plugs. No problems.

If you really think about it. You gain road clearance and you know that they flow so much better.

That is a problem on big blocks, for sure. Not sure how that affects the small blocks....

.600 raised ports because it's on a v-8 motor probably only really raises the pipe 1/2 of that or .300 Your only talking 1/3 of an inch change with respect to the body or ground.

I have Hooker S/c's 1 3/4's
