Default Corvette diecast, why no 70-72's?

I just don't get the fact that there zseems to be examples of almost every year except for these. I do have a couple of '69's but they just aren't the same. No offense to the 68-69 owners but I just like the fender flare and side gills of the 70-72's better. I think that it gives them a little more wider stance and look. Just can't figure out why Hot Wheel's and the other die cast manufacture's don't produce these in 1\18th scale.

The only thing that I've been able to find is a blue '70 BB 1/64 from Johnny Lightning. It says 1970 Corvette on the bottom and has the gills painted on, but the flares aren't right and it's got a triangluar air cleaner.

I have a black '69 1/24th on my desk at work that I say say is what my car looks like. It's too much work to explain the differences to people.

I found a yellow 70 (exact match to my 70) at Advance Auto... went back to buy another one but haven't found one since. That was 8 months ago. I think it was a Johnny Lightning. My friend took it out of the package though before I could stop her, so I'm not sure who made it. I have it in my living room. Rare find.

Great question! I too have been looking at all of the web sites, lots of 69's but no 70-72. Hopefully someone will make one soon.

I've also been looking for an early 2nd gen Camaro (1970 - 73). No luck there either.

My wife just bought me the '70 Johnny Lightning (blue BB) for my birthday.
They are out there.

Oooh - just looked at the website. They have the 70-73 Camaro in the split
front bumper that I once owned.

Hey Wade - I think I see your vette in the pics below.

Here's a couple for sale: http://page.auctions.shopping.yahoo....0?aucview=0x23
