Default My new sidepipe heat shields

I recently ordered and installed new heat shields for my Hooker Sidemounts from http://www.cobraaccessories.com/catalog/. The covers are of good quality, and the service fast. The only problem I encountered was that the brackets were designed for a smaller diameter pipe (maybe 3"?), so I modified them for the Hooker pipes. Check out the photos!

Nice! I keep seriously considering sidepipes myself.

BTW, what kind of mufflers do you have installed and how loud are they?

Mark, Please put that Vette in your will with ME as the recipient. PUULEEASE! That looks awesome. You work VERY fast.

You gotta start hangn' around more here often, you're driving us nuts with that beauty and we could all benefit from your work. Your Vette is quite an inspiration built with perspiration and blodd I'm sure.

I ordered the same sidepipe heat shields from the same company about a year ago and they came with 4" clamps. I wonder if they sell them with 3" and 4" clamps?

I just gotta say that is one damn fine looking car! Those covers look nice too. Are you going to leave them with that finish or paint them black to match the pipes? I think either way it is smokin

I have been toying with that idea for a couple of years. But I figure a person will only burn there leg once, and it hurts so bad they never do it again. I like your taste in cars. :D
