Default FYI- Holley fuel pumps

On another subject, we were testing my Holley 80gph 7.5 psi pump and it was pumping at 9 psi. My friend told me that the needle and seat on the Holley would have a hard time closing with that much pressure. I put on a fuel regulator and set it at 5psi, much better now. The only bad news I have is that living in Michigan I don't have very many days left to enjoy my car that is finally dialed in before the snow comes!!!!!

You can always ship it out here to Arizona to spend the winter. I'll gladly keep it on the road for you 'till next spring. :D

Is that the mechanical pump? That's one of the last items I need to buy.

I fi rember right my C3 repair manual says the stock fuel pressure is between 7.5 and 9, but that is with a q jet, also thats quite a bit over the average 4 or 5 psi.

Snow...that's why I have a winter beater-car with traction control and active handling...and a C5 logo! ;)

We didn't get any snow here in WA last year, but lots 2 years ago. I just don't drive when it snows because all the SUVs out here don't understand that 4wd doesn't help you stop or turn.

Although I must admit, I'd like to take my TR-3 out in the snow. The TR-3s were one of the most successful stock rally cars in automotive history...Alpine, Monte Carlo etc...

I don't think my C3 would fair too well though!
