GM used 2 different sizes over the years. A large dia and a smaller dia. My '75 used the larger size, new replacement sensors are the small size. New smaller sensors are 3/8-18 NPT. Earlier larger sensors use tap size 1/2-14 NPT. Remember that NPT holes are going to be tapered that's why you need to be sure what the starting thread dia measures. Actually it's easier to count the threads and figure it out to the inch for these things.
