Bad start this morning, red lights in rearview mirror
80 in a 65. What can I say? California's finest CHP love to pick on red convertible corvettes with people late for work in them. :mad

Sorry to hear about you getting stopped. I gotta commend you though for not asking for ways to get out of it as it seems most do. :yesnod:

80 in a 65 is pokey around the MI autobahn highways during rush hour. Put a 3.70+ gear in your rear and that will slow you down, does me. :(

Fevre, you're too funny!
Forgot to mention CHP dont use radar most the time. They just tail you in slow lane and mark your speed. That's what happened. It was still dark, didnt see him. Very sneaky.

I got a ticket once. All I could think of was Super Troopers.
Ive always wanted a cop to tail me. Just hit the brakes and say you were avoiding a squirrel or some other small animal. Then I would proceed to yell at him, saying he would have seen the squirrel if he wasnt tailing me so closely, and that being a police officer, he is supposed to be setting a good example, which doesnt including riding within 6in of my bumper. Cop gets hit with a fine and I get to add to my 'vette fund.

Bummer on the tickets. It's times like these you need to be buddies(and they owe you a favor) with someone in the force who can make it disappear. Naw... that never happens. :yesnod:

80 is survival around here !
I see SUV's with trailers doing 95 mph on I-75 !
I have passed state troopers going the other way at 85 mph, they did nothing. I have not tried that when they are in the medians taking pictures with their fancy cameras.
I have noticed that they are getting a kick out of parking behing the bridge abudments ans nailing you as you go by..

I speed all of the time. The next ticket I get, I deserve, just like the last one I got. Several SUV's had just passed me on Rt 15 in Gettysburg PA.... and the cop chose me (I'm so flattered). I paid it with a smile, but I never stop for gas in Gettysburg. I fill up either before, or after... but never in their town. Don't tell me to slow down. It'll never happen. Everyone still passes me. Tell them to slow down first. yada yada yada We're all criminals. 36 in a 35 is speeding.
