what kind of performance gain can I see in a pair of drag radials vs street tires. Does anyone have the url to toms diffs?

I've been debating the pros and cons to drag radials, and the cons are still winning since I haven't bought any yet. The only benefit I see would be when you spin the tires, the drag radials will reduce wheelspin (and flex a little helping with the launch). In all other aspects of street driving, they will be much worse than regular tires. I called BFG and they recommended NOT using these tires for extended daily driving, especially in a hard cornering vette, due to the sidewall flex. For me, it's not quite worth buying the extra set of wheels and tires to only use them twice a year at the track. (Although my quest for 12's may change my mind sooner than I think).

I've pulled 1.72 60' times on a horrible track after heating up drag radials, I have never pulled less than a 2.1 60' on street tires. I run drag radials all the time on my vert with the 502 but I do quite a bit of racing with it. If I didn't race, I wouldn't do it.

My best 60' on street tires was 1.836 (on a very sticky track)... My normal 60' times were over 2 seconds...
My best 60' time on Drag Radials was 1.591 and my average around 1.65...

with the HP and torque I have now I should be able to run mid to low 11's, I feel with slicks I should get into the high 10"s
