Default Is it possible to find original key codes?

The 75 I just bought does not have a door key. Is there any way to get the key code from Chevy or any other source or will I need a locksmith?

The key code is stamped on the side of the the lock cylinder itself, if you remove the cylinder and take it to a locksmith they will be able to make you a new key for it.
I'm not sure about the 75's , but the earlier vettes use the same key (square head) for the ignition and the doors. The round head key is for the storage compartment, alarm, and spare tire lock. If this was originally the case with 75's and your ignition key does not fit the doors then someone has probably changed the ignition cylinder on it.
You might want to consider either buying all new lock cylinders or having the door cylinders re-keyed to match the ignition so you wont have to carry around extra keys.
Either way I would consult a good locksmith and find out what options you have.

Tried that myself two years ago with no luck when I bought my 70 project car. No one was able to go back that far, tried GM, locksmiths, even a dealer that I knew had been around since the 20's with all kinds of old records.

Pulled the column key cylinder & had a key made

Even if the code stamping is missing on the lock cyl, they can be disassembled and the tumbler pins are numbered for key coding. :chevy

Yes, is a simple answer to your question. I had a set of NOS blank keys cut and coded (knock-outs) for my 73 by a guy here in Maryland, Pat Krause. He is a old time locksmith and a NCRS member. I have misplaced his home number, but he should be in the book. he resides in Fallston, Maryland.
