Can anyone tell if there is anything majorly wrong with this car.

IMO car is priced a bit too high for condition it is in.....

According to my Corvette pricing guide it is just a bit on the high side by maybe a couple grand or so. Always tough to tell from ebay.

Of course I just paid on the high side of normal for my car too, but it was almost exactly what I wanted and that's tough to find.

That is a nice car though. I'd be tempted if you could get it at the 15K range of the starting bid. Just my opinion going on the Corvette price guide.

I think if you are going to spend that money you better go look at the vehicle in person! I dont like it when EBAY sellers say "appears to be original"

Keep in mind I woulndt pay more than $15 for this car, if it goes any higher I would not bid.

What is wrong with the condition that it is in? Also can anyone describe to me exactly where the block number would be located on the engine? The seller said he would check for me.

Doylestown Pa is not not far to travel to see it. You are within an hour or so. The engine numbers are on the pad on the front of the engine right where the head meets the block. Little pad about 1 inch wide about 3 to 4 inches long. I would not buy something like this without seeing it and taking it for a drive.

"The car has new paint, but it has not been buffed yet" Pain in the rear IMO. If you don't do this yourself you are probably looking at spending a few $100 on that if it needs to be color sanded and buffed.

"The wiper motor is good as I tested it myself, but the switch is not working." Who knows what you will find here, could be really simple or really complex.

"The clock is siezed and needs to be replaced." Simple enough, but will probably cost $100 or 2 for a clock. Not that it is necessary, but I wouldn't pay $15k for a car that everything wasn't woking.

"The radio is good(had that tested at a radio specialist) but the speaker next to the drivers foot may be the cause as its the original speaker." Again could be really simple or not. You will probably spend a little on this as well.

Again if this is indeed an all original car than that changes everything. But most people that have original cars know whats original, not saying "it appears everything is original."

IMO, not everyone knows what they have or how to check. He may not be a 'vette guy' and is bing rather honest from the simple description. The car will need some work for the little things and short of the wipers, may not even require anything. The buffing, is also no biggie, even for a few hundred.

The car does look correct and minor changes could always be returned later.

Vettefinders shows a price of $15,800 as average and based on a few on their site for sale, this one is priced fairly. The seller may even take $15k.

The car is worth a look, especially since you are less than an hour away. If you are not sure what you are looking at take a someone that does, or the phone numbers of several people that can 'walk' you through a basic inspection.
