Can someone post a pic of the rear x-over brake line?
I am having trouble fitting a new pre-bent line, and I can't remember exactly how it used to look. As a matter of fact, I bought a second pre-bent line from a different manufacturer because I thought the first one was wrong, but it is exactly the same! Help!

I should go across the crossmember - and screw into a brass block at each side. Are you missing a block or two ? I don't have a pic handy - and the lines are off the frame - but I could put 'em on real quick and snap a pic.
Let me know if you need it.

That was one of the few jobs I had to farm out. Mine was so bad that I couldn't get it off...it was also leaking so bad, I was very confused. It took 15 minutes to figure out why I couldn't get the front brakes bled.

Dave: thanks for the offer, if it is not too much trouble, I would appreciate the pics!
Mike: I got your pics, thanks! I still want to see where the line meets the blocks.
I have two new brass blocks in the stock location. The two new pre-bent lines don't seem to have the bends on the proper place or at the correct angles, and they also seem to long in length! When I put it on, the center of the line hangs below the diff bracket, which doesn't seem right to me.

sounds like you might have it on wrong. maybe your right side is suppose to be on the left and vice versa.

When it comes to steel tubing and such, it can never be perfect. Just be gentle and bend it where it needs to be. (BTW don't cross thread the brass blocks......17 bucks each for one. (don't ask))

Just got thru putting mine on today. Yup it was a bugger and does have to be tweaked to fit. If you look at the center of the line it will sorta com to a point. The point faces the front of the car. At least that was how mine came off and went back on. Gently screw one side and then the other side. Mine did hang below the car alot more than i thought it should as you described so i had to gently bend it to the proper fit. The key is not to get too carried away in one area and try to bend it all at once.
Good luck.
If you still need the pics i can take some tomorrow when i get off work and shoot em to ya.
Let us know how you make out and be gentle

A qiuck update for all the people following this; it turns out that the two welded on brackets that hold the brass blocks were both bent back, and that was the reason the line would not fit right! Isn't it always something stupid like that? As a side note, anyone interested in buying a SS rear x-over line?
