deep groove
my fan belt for my alternater flys off, when i hit 5500 rpms and above, i really dont want to go with the march pulleys, i am just interested in a deep groove pulley's for the alternater and or water pump, fortunatley for me, i looked at my temp gauge soon after this blast and seen my temp gauge almost in the orange area..

Re: deep groove (madvette74)
You don't need different pulley's but do need to check alignment if the pump has been replaced the deal the pully bolts to might not have been pressed on either far enough or too far.It could be an alternator issue or a combo of both
Ganey has the correct number for a Gates belt. Hope he see's this and posts .
Mine stays on at over 7k rpm- so does GDH's

yes you are right, the alternater was not aligned up correctly, but i also noticed that my new water pump bearing must be on it's way out because you can slightly see the pulley wiggle if you wiggle the fan, and the fan is tight, i quess thats the squealling i am hearing
