That's right I hate the stuff! It itches and is a real biotch to clean up after. I spent a large portion of the day repairing cracks in my under nose valence and air dam lip. What a pain in the ****!
I jacked the car up as high as I could so I wouldn't have to lay on my back while I slopped it on and ground it down.
But it has payed off, the cracks are all fixed and the valence is just about ready for paint. I'll put some surfacer on in tomorrow and sand and prime, maybe paint next weekend, it's gonna look good.
But I still hate fiberglass.

I feel your pain, Steve, but I really love fiberglass myself. So much easier to fix than sheet metal & you don't need special tools or a welder. And if you sniff that resin long enough, you start to see all sorts of pretty colors! :D

If you don't like the fiberglass you should've bought one of the earlier ones when they were still made out of steel. I know they were 'cause I've heard enough people tell me that over the last 20 years.

I agree with JB. It is nice to be able to make repairs and it doesn't rust.

Fiberglass is the only reason I built a vet. I prefer working with a unibody, the seperate frame and body make it difficult to build a roll cage and the independent rear suspension is a week point for any real power.
But I hate rust. :)
