check out my new hood (NCRS guys - beware)
Greetings all - I posted a how to fiberglass on a hood scoop question here a while back -- got great advice, but instead of doing it myself (if there was only a few more hours per day) I had a body guy (who will probably spray some paint for me soon) do the hood.
Here's a couple of pics --- let me know what you think -- no diplomacy allowed - I'm sure you all have a love it or hate it opinion.
I haven't quite made up my mind yet. When I drop in the big block especially if I go with the dual quads the extra clearance will come in handy - or I could buy and build a drag race Vette under it - or sell it here or ebay and put the stock hood back on.
there are a few more pics here (including a through the windshield shot): http://www.cardomain.com/member_page...page_id=416624

Re: check out my new hood (rrent)
Well, a 4" rise cowl hood says "I've got a really big motor", but the stock radial tires, trim rings and a luggage rack says "I'm a Sunday tourer". Cut the front coils, put drag radials on back and take a sawzall to the mufflers.
You won't even hear the ricers rev on you!

thanks for all the love it votes
gq82 -- I hear you - that’s what the give-it-a-good-selling side of the conversation in my head is saying - plus its pretty big and square when viewed from the rear of the car.
68427 - not to worry its just trial fitted there now - the F41 front springs - the biggest set of fat daddys I can fit under the back - the big block w/new exhaust (or now that you mention it maybe just sawzall‘ed mufflers)- and new paint I’m thinking RED ------will all be in place prior to hitting the streets with this hood (if I do use it)

Re: check out my new hood (My69)
looks too much like a camaro - sell it and try again. it's the peak down the middle that messes it up. get rid ot that or maybe try something along the lines of a 68-72 big block hood, but raised up. joe

Now thats a scoop rent!!!
If you are needing extra room under the hood, that about the only way you can go, UP.
You can get use to seeing over it, I know I did.....
