A 7lb 7.5 oz future Corvette fan enters the world!
:hurray: I'm so excited, I just had to post! My daughter Naomi Lauren was born 3:47 PM on Sept. 11. The "specs" (as us car guys would say) are 7lbs 7.5 oz and 19.25 inches. My wife is doing great, as is Naomi -- despite being delivered with the cord wrapped around her neck not once, not twice, but thrice.
This is our second child. We have a 2.5 year-old daughter who already goes with me to all the car shows and can point out Corvettes, Porsches and Triumphs (go figure!) She also loves singing old car songs, like 409, Little GTO, Hey Little Cobra, Tach it up and Little Duece Coupe. Since Naomi looks like her big sister Becca, we'd expect another Corvette and Beach Boys/surf bands fan.
And funny, a lot of our friends were telling us: "just make sure you don't get induced on Sept. 11th, that would be horrible for the baby." I thought just the opposite. First, by the time she's in school, it will probably be a national holiday, making birthday party planning easy...More importantly, what better way of commemorating the day than by populating the planet with another red-blooded horsepower-loving American girl?
Here's a pic.

Congratulations to you and mom on this wonderful addition to your family.
Your two little girls are gorgeous.
Enjoy them every day, they grow up way to fast and then they are gone.
:)

Thanks guys!
I was actually talking yesterday on the phone to a guy who is interested in buying my '69 (I know, I know...I shouldn't sell, but he might make a can't refuse offer...)
When I told him I just had another daughter, he was really excited and told me that he never had kids, and all I could do was gush about how cars (especially Corvettes) are so fun, but they're even more fun when your children also love them and share in the enjoyment.
I stopped-in today to a local Corvette and hi-po Chevy show about 3 miles from my house. I missed my new daughter so I headed home after less than an hour!
