Jack the t-arm up with a jack and play as necessary. Don't tighten down either spring bolt until you've got em both in. Maybe if you have two jacks you can play with either side. Don't tighten the center section either, give yourself some slack. :)

I agree, jack up the trailing arm and the end of the spring. Get the spring almost flat and the trailing arm almost level and the bolt will go in. Don't tighten either one up until you are done.

BE CAREFUL, when tightening your spring to the rearend cover. The cast-iron ears will crack very easily! The suggestions are good ones, but one that has always worked for me best is, to get a C-clamp and clamp it near the end of one end of the spring. Take a floor jack and put it under the spring and up against the clamp(so the jack has something to keep it from slipping.) Then jack up the end of the spring until you can get the bolt into the TA. Put the nut on and take the load off the spring. Put the clamp on the other side and repeat.
Make sure that your spring is bolted tight to the chunk, and at the right torque.
With the jack, C-clamp and a little common sense this is an easy one man job.
